0

“Sandwell’s Bloomin’ Lovely” is open to all amateur artists, schools and community groups wanting to submit a themed piece of work to feature in the trail.

Art work will be shortlisted to a collection of pieces which will be exhibited across the borough, allowing members of the public to vote for the best piece of art work. The theme for the competition is “Flowers, Plants and Nature in Bloom across Sandwell”.

The artist can use any of the following mediums:
-Painting: oils, acrylics, watercolours
-Drawings: pencils, charcoals, inks, pastels
-Photographs
-Mixed media: Mixture of the above

Accepted art works must be two-dimensional. If a piece is selected each artwork must be framed and mirror plated and can be no larger than 61cm (24”) by 46cm (18”).

Each entry must be original in concept and design, and in the original medium (that is, not a scanned reproduction of a painting or drawing)

Once you have completed your piece of art work, you will need to send a photograph of the piece to the Arts Office alex_howell@sandwell.gov.uk by no later than Friday 26th May 2017.
