Creative Black Country are holding a Funny Market at Light House Media Centre as part of the Funny Things Festival, a new comedy festival for Wolverhampton and the Black Country that takes place 23rd October to 5th November in venues across Wolverhampton.
We’re looking for stallholders who have Funny Things to sell, to have a stall on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October between 11.00am and 4.30pm.
Do you sell comics? Funny books or DVDs? Joke shop items? Draw caricatures? Anything that makes people smile or chuckle? Or do you have an idea for a stall activity that would make people laugh?
If you are going to be selling items that will earn you income then we ask for a £10 contribution to help cover our costs for table and venue hire. If you have an idea for an activity that won’t make money, but that you think would be fun and you’d like to propose, then we’d still love to hear from you. Ideally we want stallholders to be there both days, but we might have a few one day slots, so please get in touch if you can only do one of the days and we’ll see what we can do.
The market will be in the Light House courtyard, which is under cover, but not heated, so you need to make sure you’ve got warm layers if it’s a cold day. You will be given a six-foot table and a chair, or a six-foot space if you do not require a table. We cannot provide any power for your stall, so you need to be self-contained. There is good natural light as the courtyard has a glass roof, and also additional lighting if it’s an overcast dark day.
Entry is free to the public. There will also be workshops, performances and film showings at Light House Media Centre during the Funny Market, so we should draw a good crowd.
If you’d like to be part of the Funny Market please contact email@example.com with Funny Market Stalls in the email title, and give the following information:
- Name of the company or activity on the stall;
- Name of main contact and contact details;
- Information on what will be on the stall;
- If you are going to be selling items, please give name, address and any other details we need to put on the invoice for the £10 fee;
- If you can do both days.
Places are limited so please apply soon to avoid missing out. Deadline for stall applications is 28th September 2017.
If you have any questions please call the Funny Things Producer, Jenny Smith on 07967 187822.
