Black Country Arts Council’s project aimed to bridge the gap between creative projects and community-focused outreach by offering free art packs that were distributed with the help of CBC’s Arts Advisors to groups and communities around the Black Country to help support children to overcome barriers to learning.

By providing access to creative materials and ideas from artists, the project encouraged participation, sharing and celebration. “It will demonstrate that art is fun for everyone and the excellent creatives that live and work in the Black Country are an inspiration for new ideas. Let’s Make Art Easy!”

James Oliver Firkins says, “Young Sketch Bookers is perfect for the current situation, but it’s also more than that: It’s about promoting the arts, engaging creativity, and providing access. This is the first step in a movement that can only grow, so Let’s Make Art Easy!”
