Volunteering Futures - Preparing for Gatis Community Lantern Parade

Our great team of volunteers have been pulling out all the stops again, helping out at Gatis Community Space in preparation for the Welcome Spring Lantern Parade on Saturday 25th of March. Working with willow, paper, and glue, they’ve been crafting a multitude of lanterns over the past few weeks ready for the big day.

As well as lantern ‘eggs’ the team have been working on mushrooms …

… and bees …

… all to tie in with this year’s theme of welcoming Spring. Can’t wait to see these lit up and ready for action along with all the other designs they’ve been helping to craft.

The parade will start at 6:30 pm on from the Wildside Activity Centre on Hordern Road, Wolverhampton, journey along part of the canal towpath then head onto the streets of Whitmore Reans, before it finishes at Gatis Community Space. Why not join us?
