60 Second Stories
Creative Black Country has been working with communities across the region to share creativity, fun and positivity via its Creative Connection Commissions. From small ideas big, inventive projects grew including poetry group Connect Dudley and Instagram photography project Yam Cams who are both featured in this short film.

Creative Connections - Building A Whale with Penn Climate Action
Back in the Spring of 2021 Penn Climate Action were commissioned as part of our Creative Connections project to produce a project that looked at plastic waste. The team worked with RAW to help people in the community build a large sculpture made out the collected pieces.
Creative Connections - YAM CAMS launches a new book in the Black Country

Creative Connections - Positive Postcards
The Positive Postcard Project has been bringing optimism and creativity to residents in Stourbridge and the surrounding areas of the Black Country. Supported by Creative Black Country this project is run by Artist Ruth Turnbull working with Holly Grove Art Club to create and send postcards with a positive message.

2 Meters Ap-Art Community Portraits Art Exhibition - An Outdoor Public Art Show by Ade Wressell. Monday 3rd May - Friday 18th June @ Walsall Creative Factory. The Exhibition is a collection of black and white portraiture photographs that tell the story of the Butts diverse community, celebrating identity and togetherness, whilst being kept apart during Covid-19.

Creative Connections 2021 - Walking Through Waterways History
The aim of Walking Through Waterways History, is to involve the local community in gathering material for an audio trail celebrating the Dudley No 2 Canal between Windmill End Junction and Hawne Basin, an area once lined with industry, including the once huge Stewarts & Lloyds where over 2000 people worked.
