Celebrating 10 Years: A series of new short films

Ahead of celebrating our 10-year milestone here at Creative Black Country, we commissioned Koru Films to help us share some of the incredible stories behind our work with communities and creatives across the region.

For those who have followed our journey (and for those who work in the same sector), you’ll know it isn’t always easy to show the true path that creativity takes — how a simple offer of advice from a creative adviser can lead to so much more. A first visit to an art gallery can become the starting point for a lasting relationship, unlocking large-scale partner funding and leading to a touring exhibition of 3D works.

Often, small ideas sparked in community conversations grow into projects that create real change. These films highlight how our programme has evolved over the years — shifting in response to the needs of the people we work with, building creative confidence, and supporting grassroots creativity to thrive.

As we reflect on 10 years, we know that real impact isn’t always found in headlines or overnight successes — it’s in the small, consistent moments of connection, trust and meaningful collaboration that ripple outwards and create lasting change.

We can't wait to share these stories with you. We're releasing them throughout April, every Monday + Wednesday and we have two for your to watch already over on the blog...
