Creative Communities: Free Friday Workshops IN WOLVES
Urban Harvest: Creative Workshops in Wolverhampton
Women aged 40+ in Wolverhampton are invited to get creative, meet new people and try something different with Urban Harvest: From Plot to Palette, a new series of free Friday workshops presented by Black Country Girls.
Taking place at Bilston Art Gallery’s craft room, the sessions bring together creativity, gardening, food, recycling and making, with plenty of opportunities to have a go at something new in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
The workshops are supported as part of Creative Black Country’s Creative Communities programme and are particularly aimed at women who might be looking for something new to do, would like to meet people or simply fancy joining a creative adventure.
No previous experience is needed. The group’s motto is: We Create. We Share. We Grow.
Across the project, participants will explore a variety of activities, from crafts and gardening to kitchen-based making and creative recycling. All materials are provided.
The group already has a small core of regular participants and has space for around six more women to join. There are also hopes that the group will continue meeting beyond the end of the project.

The project is also planning to end with a Harvest Mini Fete on Saturday 24 October, with final details to be agreed with the women taking part.
