Three 15 Tipton - Create a Clay Canal Guardian in Tipton
What kind of creature would you create to protect Tipton’s canals? This August, children and families are invited to get creative at Clay Canal Guardians, a free hands-on workshop at Glebefields Library led by local artist Rebecca Thompson.
Taking inspiration from Tipton’s canals and a little bit of imagination, participants will learn simple clay-making skills before designing their own fantastical Canal Guardian. It might be super strong, brilliantly clever, wonderfully weird or even a little bit scary.
Each child will make their own unique clay creature to take home, while thinking about the places around us and the creatures we might invent to look after them.
The workshop is suitable for children of all ages, although all children must be accompanied by an adult.
