We’d like to invite you to an evening of creative project planning for Dudley in 2022 where we are bringing together creatives, organisations and people who are interested in creating a culture programme across the borough next year - and we’d love your input.

Art Track public art commission opportunities for artists
Art Track: Metro Art Programme is a one-year pilot project to create an expanded programme of designs for public art commissions and public engagement activities for the new Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension which is due to open to passengers in 2024.

Write, Create and Perform—for girls and women with Rupinder Kaur
Write, Create and Perform—for girls and women. Weekly 2-hour workshop sessions over six weeks led by writer-performer Rupinder Kaur. CBC’s Dudley Creates team is inviting girls and women to take part in a series of weekly online creative workshops with Rupinder Kaur starting Tuesday 2nd November from 6.30pm - 8pm.

Dudley Creates supports Do Fest 2021
Last weekend Dudley Creates supported the Dudley Time Rebels and their activities at this year’s Do Fest.
Dudley’s Time Rebels are mostly local people; doers and creatives of all kinds, from students to grandparents. Alongside CoLab Dudley they have taken up the challenge to nurture imagination and long-term thinking in Dudley.

Dudley Creates - the projects so far
We’ve tentatively started to support a lovely range of projects in Dudley this year. The CBC team and associate producers, Kerry + Laura, have thought a lot about how to approach community-based work that is safe, socially distanced and that adheres to government guidelines.
Creative Connections - Positive Postcards
The Positive Postcard Project has been bringing optimism and creativity to residents in Stourbridge and the surrounding areas of the Black Country. Supported by Creative Black Country this project is run by Artist Ruth Turnbull working with Holly Grove Art Club to create and send postcards with a positive message.
Corridor of Colour Video
Luke Perry’s Corridor of Colour was a beautiful outdoor gallery of bunting made by Luke, with the help of his neighbours, that lined his street and the High Street in Wollaston.

Artists wanted to help with Young Sketch Bookers project
Young Sketch Bookers is a new project that will be taking place July to September 2020. The team’s aim is to supply art materials to children during and after the Covid-19 lockdown. And they are looking for artists to offer inspiration to those receiving the packs.
