PODCAST: Jennifer and the Sound Aloud Project

The Sound Aloud participants

“You know when you go on holiday? You come back, your heads nice and clear, you’ve refreshed… the difference is we hadn’t got on a plane or travelled anywhere we just went into a tunnel. It was an amazing experience!”

Jennifer tells us about her experience of taking part in our Dudley Creates commissioned project ‘Sound Aloud’ a project by artist Gavin Rogers who brought together women and LGBTQIA+ people living in and around Dudley to find their voices and discover the possibilities of Netherton Tunnel - a 3 km Victorian tunnel that passes along the canal and under Dudley.

“Gavin said that one of our songs was played in a nightclub. It stirred my creative world.”

This recording is 5 minutes.

Thanks to Jennifer for sharing her experience with Associate Producer + Creative Advisor for CBC Laura Dicken.
